Week 9 Story: The Cabin in the Woods

Image
Many many years ago, a very shy, but curious guy named Steve was going on with his day like normal. He would wake up, go straight to the gym, hang out with his friends, and then go to bed. It was rinse and repeat for him since it was summer, and was his only free time he could get to train to be on the football team. He was small for his age, but that never stopped him from going after what he wanted. He wasn't the most popular guy at the school in Colorado, but was someone everyone enjoyed hanging out with. After many continuous days of him working out over summer, he got a call from an unknown number. He was hesitant to answer the call because he was so shy, but thought it was an opportunity where he could finally face his fear. He finally got the courage to answer, but it was a suspicious call from the guy on the other line. He said, "I know you are training for the football team, and was wondering if you wanted to come check out the facility and maybe train there some day?

Week 8 progress

Image
I think the progress I have made thus far in this class has been good. I have been trying to stay ahead of things because it just makes everything easier later down to road, and less stressful. I like to try to get my assignments done early in the week so I can try to start on next weeks assignments before they creep up on me.  I think the writing assignments have been really fun, and you get to express your own ideas through writing. I also like this assignment because it is a way for you to reflect on the progress I have made. As of right now, I don't think there are any changes I would make to my current progress, I would to just like to be ahead of everything to make it easier on me.                                                           Pixabay: Motivation             I think this image is really important because it shows that you just have to keep on going no matter what happens in your path.

Week 8 Comments and Feedback

Image
I think when it comes to comments and feedback, I have been getting very useful comments on my stories. I like when they are in depth, and provide things I can fix, or change up to make my stories even better. I do like getting compliments on my stories, but I also enjoy getting constructive criticism because it makes me want to change up the story every week until I have perfected it. The feedback I have been giving to my peers has been okay. I have struggled to really give insightful feedback on everyones stories in the past. I usually just have been giving compliments, but know I am transitioning into giving more in depth, useful comments they can actually use to help better their story. I do think I can connect with people through the blog posts, and think it is a good way to see how they develop through their writing.                                                             Cheezburger: Criticism                        I chose to use this image because it is important to lear

Week 8: Reading and Writing

Image
While looking back on my reading and writing in India Epics, I am very happy with how things are going right now.  For my blog, I think I have added a lot of things to make it to my liking, while my project website it very cool with the big dinosaur on the front cover. I would say I am satisfied with how my reading and writing are going in this class. I have already learned a lot from my teacher, and the feedback given to me really allows me to dive deeper into the stories and change it for the better. I think my biggest accomplishment thus far is just being able to write different stories, based off of different topics. I think each story is different, showing how I can be creative with my writing. I would't say I have a favorite reading thus far, but that may change in the near future. I do think the readings have helped my writing, but I would prefer just to write stories.                                                                 Pixabay: Stegosaurus

Week 6: The Video Game competition

Image
It all started last year when Fred, a very talented video game player, got invited to the highest stage there could be for video game players. He was always practicing, and would always be praised by his peers for his excellence on the sticks. He also would always attract the cute girls at his school in Texas because his skills were something no one ever could compete with. Fred was very arrogant, but he had a reason to be because he was not only the best video game player at the school, he was being noticed at the highest of levels. He was not only getting noticed at the highest level, he was apart of them as well. Fred is known for being the best at shooting games, but he has little to no experience in sports game. Jason, a fellow peer of Fred, is also a gamer but he doesn't have the accolades Fred has. Jason saw this as an opportunity to approach Fred, and ask if he will have a video game competition, but only sports. "Hey Fred."Jason shouted across a crowd of people
